ABOUT OUR COMPANY

EcoFlora is a pioneer company, which started activities in 1989, enhancing the sustainable use of Colombia’s biodiversity and increasing the added value of its agricultural products. Together with our neighbor flower and horticultural companies, we generate more than 400 direct jobs and work towards the strengthening and sustainability of the productive chains in which we participate as suppliers and/or clients. Our qualified technical team and management staff, guarantee permanent innovation of goods and services with global potential, which are being consolidated as instrumental tools for productive re-conversion and sustainable development, while they are coherent with the world’s consumption trends, which are increasingly oriented towards healthy, ecological, fair, and ethnic products.

LOCATION

EcoFlora is strategically located in the heart of the Americas, in the rich and biodiverse soils of the Andes Mountains. Our production facilities operate near the international airport of Rionegro, and count with an easy access to ports in the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of Colombia.

EXTRACTION AND DESTILATION TECNHOLOGIES

We count on a 100% stainless steel polyvalent plant, ideal for the extraction and distillation of multiple products and natural ingredients that allow great flexibility for adjustment to the technical requirements of each customer and each application. Our plant designs gather the advantages and overcome the failures identified by expert engineers, constructors, and pilot and industrial plant operators established in Sri-Lanka, France and Germany, with vast trajectory in the manufacture of essential oils, oleoresins, and natural extracts.

SUSTENAIBLE AND CLEAN RAW MATERIALS

We are currently implementing the Good Agricultural Practices System (GAP) for the production and harvesting of all our raw materials, seeking to guarantee their uniform quality, innocuous characteristics and traceability. We offer technical assistance, transfer clean technologies and supply organic inputs to our raw material suppliers, thus assuring a mutual benefit relationship. We promote the restoration of biodiversity through diversified systems, biological corridors, and the use of natural substances that substitute agro-toxic products progressively.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

We count on the services of renowned laboratories and research centres with whom we carry out quality control of our raw materials and finished products. With their help and our work team, we are implementing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and certifying our quality control system under ISO 9001.
